"There are three sizes of micro-mirrors with flexible shaft: 4 mm, 3 mm and 2 mm width in diamond shapes. Traditional round shaped mirrors have limited usage for anterior large osteotomy cases. In most cases e.g., bicuspid or molar, the osteotomy size varies; some are small so 2 mm or 3 mm is needed. When the osteotomy is large, 4 mm is needed. Since the resected root is elongated buccal and lingual, diamond shaped mirrors with proper width are optimal"
